Friends, I have humbling news to share. Diane Weir, the wife of the late Honorable Supervisor Bob Weir, has endorsed our campaign for Gainesville Supervisor. Diane knew Bob better than anyone, and because of Bob, Diane knows firsthand what leadership, accountability, and integrity look like. And because of that, I could not be more grateful to know that she has put her faith in us. Bob’s shoes will be impossible to fill, but with your support and encouragement, we can try to continue his legacy together. Please see Diane’s full statement below:

Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As the wife of the late Bob Weir, who had the privilege of serving as Supervisor for the Gainesville District, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication and integrity that the job demands. My husband cared deeply for this community, and he believed in serving with honesty, fairness, and heart.
It’s from that perspective that I want to thank and endorse Patrick Harders. Patrick has demonstrated the same values I deeply respected in my late husband. He is committed to public service, genuinely cares for the people he serves, and has an unwavering drive to do what is right, even when it’s not the easiest path. He listens, he shows up, and he makes decisions with the best interest of our community in mind, not for personal gain, but because he truly cares.
I know my husband would have been proud to see someone like Patrick in this role, someone who values people over politics and results over recognition. Patrick has earned my respect, and I believe he’s the right person to continue guiding our district forward.
Thank you to Patrick for all he has done and continues to do. Our community is better because of his service.
