Gainesville Spoke. The message is clear.

Gainesville, thank you for your support. Winning 69% of the vote shows that Gainesville wants leadership that listens, leads with integrity, and prioritizes people.

This past Saturday, the Gainesville District came together in a powerful show of unity and purpose. The turnout for our message and our campaign wasn’t just strong—it was decisive. We earned over 400 more votes than both our Republican opponent and the entire Democratic firehouse primary combined. That’s not just a message. That’s a mandate.

The people of Gainesville want leadership in the spirit of Bob Weir—leadership that listens, leads with integrity, and prioritizes people over politics.

Throughout this campaign, I stayed focused on the issues, engaged with everyone, and avoided personal attacks. That approach resonated. We saw in the results that people on both sides of the data center issue joined forces—the majority of voters chose to stand against unchecked data center development. Voters recognized that the Prince William Digital Gateway presents not just a zoning question, but a long-term threat to our homes, communities, and environment. It’s an issue I’ve been fighting against for years.

I want to commend Brian Landrum. He brought both a strong work ethic and good public speaking to this race. Despite our differences, we found common ground in opposing predatory land deals that have trapped our neighbors in uncertainty—promises made with little to no money down, leaving families burdened with sky-high property taxes and no guarantee of resolution.

We also had to overcome the misinformation spread by those who were promised $500,000 to $1 million per acre for their land by previous politicians—promises that were entirely dependent on the Prince William Digital Gateway infrastructure that may never be realized. These unrealistic projections were used to fuel a last-ditch effort to turn out votes against our campaign. But the people of Gainesville saw through it.

Our citizens are among the most politically informed in the Commonwealth. They rejected the smear tactics, rejected the false promises, and stood together to demand real accountability and real leadership.

The Road Ahead

With this victory, we are moving forward with clarity and purpose:

  1. End the Prince William Digital Gateway – no more empty promises and environmental damage.
  2. Pause all new data center approvals in Prince William County for five years to allow for long-term planning, not short-term profit.
  3. Preserve open space near the national battlefields through a smart PDR (Purchase of Development Rights) strategy that doesn’t compete with industrial zoning.
  4. Create a Historical and Recreational Overlay District to generate tourism and tax revenue through conservation and community spaces.
  5. Reinvest in the Sudley corridor and Manassas – areas I know well and care deeply about. My old neighborhood deserves better.
  6. Continue Bob Weir’s work on crime prevention and fighting panhandling, loitering, and violent crime.
  7. Partner with Jen Wall and the Prince William County School Board to ensure our children receive the quality education they deserve.
  8. Watch every tax dollar like a hawk – cutting waste and demanding efficiency.

Above all, I will work with other Supervisors to ensure the Gainesville District and all of Prince William County have a strong, principled voice in local government. We will lead with resolve, but always with respect. Because true leadership means standing firm on values while treating everyone with dignity. That’s how we persuade others. That’s how we win lasting change.

Thank you, Gainesville, for believing in that vision.
